A single-phase automatic voltage regulator is used to regulate single-phase AC voltage. It mainly consists of a single-phase autotransformer, an on-load tap changer and an automatic controller. It can adjust non-compliant input voltage into stable and compliant output voltage to meet the load's voltage requirements. It is mainly used in power systems and industrial manufacturing. With extensive deployment in the Middle East, the Americas and Australia, it is a mature and reliable product.
Confiquration & workinq principle
The single-phase SVR operates based on the autotransformer voltage regulation principle, combining with an on-load tap changer and smart controller to achieve precise and stable voltage regulation. Its operating process consists of three main stages, integrating automatic control and manual operation to ensure flexible and reliable voltage regulation. With 32 tap positions, the regulation accuracy of each step is 0.625% of the line voltage.
Autotransformer: A single-phase autotransformer winding with a specially designed tap structure. By changing the winding turns radio, it enables conversion between input and output voltage.
On-load tap changer: A switching device capable of changing tap positions under load. Upon receiving control signals, it accurately shifts to the designated tap position to achieve stepwise voltage regulation. The regulation process is seamless, preventing voltage fluctuations from affecting load equipment, while ensuring the output voltage waveform remains undistorted and electrical equipment operates without disruption.
Smart controller: Monitors load-side voltage changes in real time, automatically detects overvoltage and undervoltage conditions, and accurately triggers the on-load tap changer to stabilize the output voltage within the present target range for unattended operation. It also supports manual tap switching through panel buttons.
